1. About Our Store & Website

Our store is based in Hong Kong and is incorporated in Hong Kong. Our website is operated by staff with long-term procurement operations in Japan.

All tobacco products distributed domestically by Japan Tobacco (JT) are available through our store. We currently offer cigarettes, various loose tobacco, and heated tobacco products. Additional items such as rolling supplies and small cigars will be added in future — however, please understand that due to our busy operations, the listing schedule cannot be accelerated.

Although we maintain a large inventory of ready stock, our physical store also serves walk-in customers simultaneously. Therefore, we cannot display precise real-time stock levels. If an item can be added to your cart, it means we are currently willing to accept orders — it does not guarantee immediate in-store availability. For products where we are aware of upcoming supply disruptions, we will mark the status accordingly, but exceptions may exist.

📦 Shipping Wait Time Notice: The number of EMS parcels our store can process daily is limited. Our current daily shipping volume has already reached the logistics allocation cap. We have a backlog of pending orders. If you are not comfortable with a long wait, we recommend bookmarking our site and placing your order when the queue is shorter. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.

Other Notes:

  1. All products are Japanese domestic tax-paid tobacco — commonly referred to as “Japanese tax-paid.” There are no duty-free versions. The latter are only sold at airports and ports to departing travelers.
  2. Limited-edition products typically have regional and time restrictions and are generally unavailable. If a new product becomes available, we list it immediately. If it is not listed, it is not available.
  3. Tax refund for foreign tourists: Our physical store is qualified for departure tax refunds, but this applies only to customers who physically visit the store with their passport.
  4. High-demand items (e.g., Peace in iron boxes, amber loose tobacco): Paid orders awaiting shipment often exceed actual stock. There are no counterfeit products in legitimate Japanese tobacco shops or convenience stores.

2. About Chinese Customs & Parcel Duties

⚠️ Customs Information Disclaimer: This section is based on publicly available Chinese regulations and community experiences. It is for reference only. Actual rules may vary — customs clearance risk is borne solely by the recipient.

2.1 Will I Be Taxed?

China Mainland Customs requires a personal mail tax (行郵稅) when tax exceeds RMB 50. Tobacco products are taxed at 50%, meaning purchases under RMB 100 in total declared value are exempt. The threshold is calculated on the total parcel value, not any single item.

In practice, only the product price is typically subject to tax. Some local customs offices may only exclude shipping fees, or in rare cases, may not allow exclusion at all. If customs requires a supplementary declaration, please follow your local customs requirements. For EMS orders with self-paid duties, a detailed purchase receipt is included in the parcel and is also available in your order details page after shipment.

2.2 Amount and Quantity Limits?

The single-purchase limit for non-single-item products is RMB 2,000. Parcels exceeding this with multiple saleable items may be returned by customs. For safety, keep product prices under RMB 1,500 if you are unfamiliar with local practices.

After the parcel enters mainland China: cigarettes, heated tobacco, and cigars combined must not exceed 400 pieces; loose tobacco must not exceed 5 kg. China Mainland Customs regulates heated tobacco under the same rules as cigarettes — however, some local customs officers may misclassify heated tobacco as liquid-vapor e-cigarettes and refuse release. Please do not purchase if you wish to avoid this.

2.3 Can I Purchase Multiple Times in a Short Period?

China Mainland Customs requires that quantities fall within “reasonable personal use.” Research your local community’s shared experiences before deciding on frequency, or wait until your first parcel is received before ordering again. If your parcel is returned by customs, refunds are not available and re-shipping costs are borne by you.

2.4 How Is Duty Paid? Is It Included?

Except for items explicitly marked as tax-included, prices do not include duties. For EMS-classified products, duties must be paid by the recipient in their real name upon customs notification via SMS. Please ensure your real name and real phone number are provided — using a fake name will result in the parcel being returned/destroyed. Recipient information cannot be modified after EMS shipment.

Some Japanese logistics providers offer “duty-included” services, but capacity is extremely limited. Our store occasionally offers SF Express all-inclusive pricing for specific products — no advance booking or email notification is available.

3. About Expiration / Best-Before Dates

As a long-running physical store, we can guarantee that all products meet Japanese domestic sales standards for expiration dates. However, our inventory changes daily and we cannot commit to a minimum number of days. If concerned, please use “Contact Us” to inquire — but the response reflects only the current situation, and your order may be processed several days later.

📌 Note on Expiration Dates: Only Japanese domestic brands mark “best-before dates” (賞味期限) on packaging. Foreign brands typically do not. Batch codes on foreign-brand packaging are not dates. Dates printed inside packaging seams are production dates for packaging materials, which may be 1-2 years earlier than the actual product date — they have no reference value.

4. About Flavors

All tobacco products in our store are supplied by Japan Tobacco Company — they are all genuine and authentic!

Japanese domestic products differ slightly in flavor from duty-free shop versions, as they are formulated for different consumer groups. Even within Japanese domestic products, different batches may vary in flavor. Only same-batch products have comparable flavor.
